It Takes a Community
Sandlot League has always been free.
That only works because of a community that believes every child deserves another opportunity to play baseball.
Some people volunteer their time. Some share our story. Some donate equipment. Some quietly provide food. Some simply encourage a child.
Every one of those gifts matters.
This page exists to remember the people who helped build Sandlot League from the very beginning. Whether their names appear here or they choose to remain anonymous, every contribution has made a difference.
Thank you.
The Original Believers
Before there was a website, before there were chapters, and before anyone knew what Sandlot League might become, people stepped forward to help.
These are some of the original believers from Wabash in 2026. Their place in the story will always remain.
Anonymous Donor #1
Donated seven brand-new baseball gloves.
These gloves will make sure children who arrive without equipment still have the opportunity to take the field.
Anonymous Donor #2
Donated six 24-count packages of hot dogs, one large bag of tortilla chips, and two bags of nacho cheese.
This gift helps families gather around the ballpark and makes a Sunday evening at Sandlot feel like more than a game.
Anonymous Donor #3
Donated six baseball bats.
These bats will help make sure every child has something to swing when it is time to step into the batter’s box.
More Community Partners Coming Soon
The generosity shown by our community continues to grow.
As additional individuals, families, and businesses contribute, we will continue adding their stories here.
Every gift—large or small—helps another child play baseball.
Our Promise
Every item entrusted to Sandlot League will be used to support the mission:
Giving every child another opportunity to play baseball.
If someone donates a glove, a child will use it.
If someone donates a bat, it will be swung.
If someone donates food, families will gather around it.
Nothing is taken for granted. Everything is appreciated.
Sandlot League began at The Field of Dreams in Wabash, Indiana—the Original Chapter and Home Office.
Bring a glove. See you Sunday.
