Wabash — Original Chapter

The birthplace of Sandlot League.

Sandlot League began at The Field of Dreams in Wabash, Indiana, in 2026. The Wabash chapter is the Original Chapter and the permanent Home Office of Sandlot League.

This is where the gates first opened. It is where the customs were learned, the handbook began and the culture took shape one Sunday at a time.

Why Wabash remains home

If Sandlot League reaches communities far beyond Indiana, every official chapter should still be able to answer a simple question: Where did this begin?

The answer will always be The Field of Dreams in Wabash.

A living record

This page will preserve the people, photographs, milestones, donated equipment, community partners and Sunday stories that built the Original Chapter. The history will be recorded honestly, including the small moments that mattered long before anyone thought of Sandlot League as an organization.
