Start a Chapter
Take the opportunity home.
A Sandlot League chapter can begin anywhere people are willing to open a field, welcome every child and protect the spirit of the game.
It does not begin with uniforms, standings or a large budget. It begins with trustworthy adults, a safe place to play and a commitment to keep baseball free.
The non-negotiables
- Every child plays free.
- No standings, tournaments or drafts.
- Everybody plays and everybody belongs.
- Instruction happens without turning the evening into a tryout.
- Local leaders protect children, volunteers and the Sandlot League mission.
- Official chapters recognize Wabash, Indiana, as the birthplace and Home Office.
Before using the name
Sandlot League is building a careful chapter-recognition process to protect the children, the mission and the name. A community should not represent itself as an official Sandlot League chapter until it has been recognized by the Home Office.
